One-to-one

There are times in life when we all need to talk to someone.

Friends and family can be a great source of support, but you might not feel comfortable sharing certain things with them. Or perhaps they’re keen to give advice but they don’t have the training to fully understand the issues you’re facing or how to help you move forwards.

At times like this, it can be useful to talk to someone independent. Someone whose vocation is helping others. Someone who won’t judge you or tell you what they think is best for you, but instead will help you find your own answers.

My name is Débora and I’m here for you. Whether you’re looking for guidance in mindfulness, coaching or therapy, I can help.

About me ...

I qualified as a registered psychologist in 2001, with an additional specialisation in organisational psychology. After working for several years as head of personnel selection, while also completing a master's degree in human resources management and numerous technical courses, I decided in 2008 to expand my horizons. Since then, I haven’t stopped training and gaining professional experience in different fields.

In addition to being a career counsellor and teacher of non-regulated training, I specialise in a humanistic approach to therapy, totally focused on the needs that each person brings to the consultation. In my 18 years of professional experience, I’ve learned that every individual is different, so you have to be as prepared as possible to understand the circumstances in which they find themselves and offer them the help they need.

In an attempt to fulfil this aim, I’ve completed several refresher courses and professional training related to transpersonal psychology, NLP, life coaching, meditation and, recently, transpersonal mindfulness. In addition, I have a high level of English, so I provide both training sessions and consultations in this language as well as in my native Spanish.

I firmly believe in the ability of each person to find their own solutions when they’re empowered: when they manage to connect with their potential and realise what they can do.

I’d love to be a part of your process, creating an environment of mutual respect, openness, empathy and unconditional acceptance in which you’ll feel comfortable and free to be yourself.

Mindfulness

What if you could change your perspective and see conflict less as something threatening and more as an opportunity to increase your self-awareness?

How much happier would you feel if you could surf the waves of your life instead of fighting the tide?

That’s what mindfulness is all about, and it’s what I’d like to help you achieve. A state of consciousness and full acceptance of the present moment by gently reconnecting with your body, mind and emotions.

Maybe you’re facing a challenging time in your life and want to gain clarity and peace. Maybe you want to get started with mindfulness but aren’t sure how. Or maybe you already have some experience of mindfulness and meditation, but now you want to explore the ideas more deeply and see where your practice can take you.

Whatever you need, I can offer you complete, personalised guidance throughout the process. As a transpersonal counsellor in mindfulness, I’ll support you through your journey with tailored one-to-one sessions. Or, if you prefer, you can opt for our 8-week Introduction to Mindfulness course. Either way, you'll also receive guided meditations that you can download to your phone or tablet and use to practise each day.

I’ll give you transforming tools that can be applied in many different areas of your life: personal, family, relationships, work, health, wellbeing and more. And you’ll get support to sustain your practice in an autonomous way.

Here are some of the things we can explore together ...

  • How to develop sustained attention to the present moment
  • How to stop being a slave to unconscious reactions and instead choose freer, more conscious responses
  • How to manage dysfunctional thoughts and contractive emotions, like stress and anxiety
  • check
How to have greater empathy, self-compassion and compassion for others
  • check
How to be more aware of the relationships between body, emotions and mind
  • check
How to reconnect with your body and develop positive behaviours, for better self-care and general wellbeing
  • check
How to boost your creativity and find alternative solutions to problems.

Above all, you’ll discover that mindfulness isn’t just a bunch of tools and techniques.

It’s a complete change of philosophy.

Everything you need is already inside you ...

... waiting for you to accept the challenge and dare to experience the adventure.

Coaching

Do you feel stuck? Maybe you’re not sure how to get from where you are to where you want to be. Or maybe you aren’t even sure where you are or how you ended up there.

Don’t despair! You aren’t alone. It’s actually more common than you might think; it’s just that people don’t usually admit it. So, if this is the case for you, congratulations on your courage in taking full responsibility for your life and committing yourself to grow.

If you decide to share this adventure with me, I’ll assist you in setting and achieving your goals. How? By working with you to design a coaching programme tailored to your specific needs.

I take an eclectic and integrative approach, incorporating techniques from mindfulness, NLP, and transpersonal, gestalt, systemic and cognitive psychology.

Therapy

But sometimes it’s not just a matter of achieving objectives or improving abilities; we need to go a bit deeper. We need to explore ourselves in a more profound and personal way.

If that’s the case, it becomes necessary to find an intimate space where we can be accepted compassionately and unconditionally, with all that we bring to this moment. Where we feel safe to reflect upon ourselves and our circumstances, explore our choices and dare to try something different.

I see each person as a whole. When dealing with what happens on the inside, it’s important not to forget the context – and this is reflected in my style of therapy.

As an integrative and holistic psychologist, I rely on more than one approach to create a personalised programme of sessions.

FAQs

How does it work?

We’ll talk online, face to face, at a time of your choice. Simply choose one of the available slots when you make your booking. Each session lasts approximately 1 hour.

You’ll need some kind of webcam – the one that comes built into your laptop, tablet or mobile phone is fine. Don’t worry about installing any special software. I’ll simply send you a link to a private video chat, where we can talk in complete confidence.

What does it cost?

Mindfulness tuition costs £40 per session, payable by credit card or debit card when you book. I recommend that you sign up for my 8-week beginners’ programme if you’re thinking about getting started in mindfulness, as it will give you a strong foundation in both mindfulness and meditative practice. Take advantage of our special offer and pay just £245 for the full 8-week programme (a saving of £75) when you make a single payment at the start of the course.

If you already have some experience in mindfulness and want to deepen your practice, we can agree an appropriate number of sessions according to your needs.

The charge for life coaching is £40 per session. The number of sessions isn’t fixed, as each client is different and has different needs. Some people need only one session to find their way, while others will want to invest more time. The full coaching process usually takes 6–12 sessions, but you’ll see first results and be ready to take action straight after our first meeting.

Therapy sessions cost £40 each and there’s no minimum number of appointments. We’ll revise our progress together and agree on how to proceed. It all depends on you: how you feel during the process, how things unfold, any needs that arise, your circumstances... It’s all about you.
